When using this plugin unfortunately its breaking the Youtube videos for WordPress

    .
With wordpress you no longer need plugins to display videos you can simply paste the youtube url and the videos will display

but sadly when this plugin is activated , this functionality breaks.

and now i only get a url to the video (plain text) instead of the embedded plugin

Are you sure that you are placing “nextpage” shortcode after the embed code? Or video is placed somewhere else but still breaking?

Yes 100% sure. All works fine when plugin is disabled but once enabled thd videos break… Tested across multiple pages even pages which do not have next page links..

    What’s your personal contact details?
I can only turn plugin back on briefly for you to view (sadly i dont have a staging area) – as its a live website and users require the videos.

ok just sent you an email

hopefully we can get this resolved as this plugin looks just about perfect for my needs

    Hi Fahad,

I’m seeing the same issue here but with embedded Vimeo videos. It appears that enabling JQuery Post Splitter ‘hides’ the video. If I disable the plug-in and rely on just the native Page Break tag, the video is visible in the post as expected.

Other than that, the plugin is great and does exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for listening, and good luck figuring out this embedded video problem. πŸ™‚

Thanks Fahad. I will give it a try today.

    Hi Fahad,

I tried the 2.3.0 ‘beta’ today. I had to delete 2.2.0 before 2.3.0 would install properly. Should that be expected? I’m guessing ‘yes’ since this isn’t an official release yet but I wasn’t sure.

After activation, 2.3.0 doesn’t seem to be working at all–the multi-post displayed as a single page. When I disabled it, the multi-post format came back with the standard WP page numbers under each post.

Just to be sure something else wasn’t broken, I regressed jQuery Post Splitter to version 2.2.0. After enabling it, 2.2.0 seems to be working as before, so something is apparently broken in 2.3.0?

Thanks for continuing to support this. I’ll be happy to continue testing.

You are right, 2.3.0 has some major changes that’s why i am not releasing it officially yet. You will notice that the button “next page” was generating a shortcode “nextpage” in previous release but now its “nextparts”. So you have to split your posts once again with the new keyword “nextpart”. I am really sorry for the inconvenience. I am still working on it that existing users should not face the problem that’s why didn’t release the updated one yet.

No worries–in my case it’s only a minor inconvenience. I’ll try re-splitting the posts then.

Thanks again for continuing to work on this.
