• I have created a test website on google compute engine. which was working perfectly fine. now for learning purpose i clone the machine into another datacenter. now when i am trying to access the public IP of new clone machine it is loading broken site. without images.
i see nothing in error.log and access.log. activity dial of a browser shows busy status eventually it stop loading the page.
now it seems more of a WordPress side issue and not VPS side issue. therefore your expert advice is required.

    Thanks,
    Yousuf

Thanks Tarun, actually i found the problem the issue was related to static IP define in wp-option tables. so i changed it to the correct ip now its working fine.

but my question is do i always have to change the IP in wp-options table every time i move or clone the site. (i know no one does it often) but my question is cant i use website domain name instead of IP in wp-options table.

You can if you assign one dedicated ip to your website , But if placing ip will resolve your work then whats the issue of placing website name.

But wordpress website use website name only not ip address

I think its DNS issue Wait for 48 hr then place website name in place of ip it will work as per my knowledge
