Add new Google font

WP 4.4.2
Theme 3.0

There are 2 problems:
1. When I change font to any other for Body, it doesn’t reflect until I change the CSS in developer’s console (it get inherit to default font from somewhere, i suspect)
2. Adding new Google Font doesn’t work. I add it’s selection to function php file, and I also add @import to the css, next to other google fonts. As a result, I can select the font (and it shows correct example), but in web-page it doesn’t load and defaults to family style (e.g. comic sans for sans fonts).

Please can you tell if these are known bugs, and when you are planning to address them?
