I’m sorry for the wrong topic header, I tried to change it to orange, but this seems impossible.
I’m definitely getting the orange (spam) one.
What shortcode ([contact-form-7 …]) did you put into the page content?
I used [contact-form 1 "Contactformulier 1"] this has worked for years as this is one of the oldest pages of the site..
Thanks for your time!
The format of the shortcode is old. Find a new format one from Contact Form 7 admin page and replace them in the contact page.
I’ve updated the short code, et’s hope this solves the problem. According to the application the old format can also be used, that’s why I never tried changing it. Thanks for all your time and I keep you updated!
I just tested it and it does not seem to solve the problem. One of my customers send me a screenshot of the message she tried to send and as soon as I fill in the form with her data (which is valid data) I get the orange border problem. I’m not using akismet nor recaptcha
OK. What is the current shortcode?
It’s now [contact-form-7 id=”927″ title=”Contactformulier 1″]
I also just added recaptcha to the page, to see if that helps, but I haven’t had time to try that yet.
Do you use any other plugins?
I have serveral plugins installed, but not all are active (yet) is there a specific plugin you suspect? I’m also using the contact from database plugin, and this doesn’t record any entry either. Aksimet plugin is installed but not activated.
The weird part remains that it sometimes works as I do get some mails from people through the form. Is there a way to debug the spam triggering mechanism in CF7? I do have access to the filesystem and I am comfortable with vi.
Thanks!
I can send you the data I’m entering into the form to trigger the problem if you like in a private mail, for me using this data and safari it’s 100% reproducible.
So what plugins are you using?
