Search widget not working on sidebar

Hi,

The search widget in the sidebar of the site I am developing (http://50.87.163.193/~bidfoudi) is not working, and goes to an error messsage not matter what taxonomies I include.

Also, I would like to have a more detailed search with pricing etc, as you have on http://impresslistings.com/. How do I get this happening on my site?

Once more thing; is there a way to customize the color of the status banner that is bright green?
