• We have multiples forms on our website but we randomly don’t receive emails. For example, on Monday we received 3 email inquiries but we only received 1 email in our inbox (I know this because I crosscheck it with Contact Form DB). Everything seemed to work fine until later last year when we noticed that we didn’t receive all the emails.

Here are our current settings. Note that all these emails are real except info@mycompany.com is forwarded to xx@mycompany.com.

    Email to: Sales,xx@mycompany.com;[cc]xx2@mycompany.com;[bcc]xx3@mycompany.com

    Return-path address: info@mycompany.com

    Enable when web host requires…(checked)

Please let me know if you need more information. Thank you in advance for your help πŸ™‚

  • Hi try the following documentation. See if this helps you.

    Thank you

Thank you mbrsolution but I already consulted that documentation.

Hi, did you also check the spam box to make sure it is not landing there? Have you contacted your host to make sure that they have not made any changes on your server?

If I may piggy back on this. I haven’t been getting any email from the contact forms. I have 2 separate named ones on my web site. I have followed the documentation. I registered with SORBs just to be sure. I sent email to my email from another email client. Then, I sent email from the email I use for the contact forms. So, email is getting to and from my email, but when it comes from the contact form there is nothing. Not even in the spam folder.

@graphicdesignbystacey have you been in contact with your host about this issue?

@mbrsolution There’s nothing in our spam box. We also use the Contact Form DB plugin and all the emails are stored in the database but usually only half arrive in our mailbox.

What kind of server changes should I be asking the host?

    Thank you so much!

@sucha you will have to let your host know about this issue. They might be able to share some information in regards to your problem.

@mbrsolution We have our email addresses set up through Microsoft 365. I’ve just talked to bluehost and they suggested that I contact Microsoft. Do you have an insight into this issue?

I really appreciate your quick response πŸ™‚

Unfortunately no, because I don’t use Microsoft 365. Your host has passed on the correct information. Your best option is to contact Microsoft. They should be able to clearly pin point what is happening to your e-mails.

Let us know what the outcome is. That way if any one has a similar problem they will know what to do.

    Kind regards

@mbrsolution I will remember to report back how this goes. I did some googling and found people who used other contact form plugin with office365 email and had a similar issue. Their suggestion is to change the MX (Mail Exchanger) in cPanel to “Remote Mail Exchanger.” Initially, the MX was set to “Automatically Detect Configuration” which might explain why it randomly worked. I’ve just changed it to “Remote Mail Exchanger” which will ensure that bluehost will not mess with any emails coming from the site. Let’s hope this works!

Yes that sounds like it will work.

    Good luck πŸ™‚
