Shortcodes stopped working

The website has been running fine for over a year with the plugin installed.
In dashboard there is an alert which says the plugin needs to be updated with a login, username and password required.
The site and plugin were setup by a sub contractor who is unavailable.
When I go to the s2Member site to workout my options. The only way I can get support is by entering in the Username which I do not have access to.
Very frustrating.
Does anyone know any way I can get support without a username, or how to get in contact with the developers.Cheers
