• I’ve installed the light version for a client to test before committing to the paid version and we’ve run in to an issue that I can’t resolve.

The client has one service provider and offers two services; a half hour appointment and an hour appointment.

The single service provider is assigned to both services and each service has the capacity set to 1.

On the frontend the calendar defaults to the first service which is the 1/2 hour appointment. Both 1/2 hour and hour appointments are shown as not available. However if I select the hour appointment and click on the ‘Show available times’ button the calendar ignores the fact that there are multiple 1/2 hour appointments booked and shows that time as available.

Obviously this allows for overbooking. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

  • Hey there Steve,

    How are you doing today?

In your case capacity is not needed. This feature is to be used when you have multiple service providers on your service but physically only one slot to book. As an example lets say you have a hair salon and only one chair and 2 hair dressers, this is the case where you’d want to use capacity so you can limit number of available bookings per slot to 1. Otherwise number of possible bookings per slot is limited to number of service providers that are working on that service.

Regarding calendar that is being displayed that would depend on the selected service in the first place and possibly working hours that are selected for that worker.

Would you mind posting link to your booking page where I can see this and also post screenshots from your admin panel of working hours for that specific provider, services and service provider page. All pages can be found in Appointments -> Settings under their respective tabs.

Looking forward for your response 🙂

    Cheers,

    Bojan,

    The live link is http://spiritualuplifts.com/make-an-appointment/

If you’d use the contact form at http://www.sohoit.biz/contact/ I can email you to screenshots and details you need. I’m reluctant to post customers information in a public forum.

    Hey again Steve,

Sure thing, if that is the case you can then send us those screenshots through our contact form https://premium.wpmudev.org/contact/ using this template:

    Subject: “Attn: Bojan”
    -link to your site
    -screenshots
-link back to this thread for reference
    -any other relevant urls

Select “I have a different question” for your topic – this and the subject line ensure that it gets assigned to me 🙂

    Looking forward for your email.

    Cheers,
    Bojan
