Problem adding images to new theme

Hello
I just downloaded the jello theme
(http://www.wpdesigner.com/2007/10/06/jello-wala-mello-wordpress-theme/)

my problem is adding images to the front page like in the orginal demo of the theme. They just dont show and I dont know what I am doing at this point (or what i am not doing). How do I add images to the front page of this theme?
