Hey there SeashoreBr,
How are you doing today?
That would depend on the source of the image that is displayed there (on your social networks).
I’ve checked this using one of WPMU DEV plugins that autoposts to facebook and the images there were pulled from the uploads folder from my test site which means that the images will most likely be smushed thumbnails if that makes sense.
Hope this helps 🙂
Cheers,
Bojan
Hi Bojan,
I have a site, and the current post images at Facebook are the featured images I’ve defined at WordPress. For example, I have a post with the image001.jpg as featured image, and I post it at FB. So, in FB the image is image001.jpg.
My question is: if I apply WP-Smush, the og:image name will change, and this change will reflect in FB? The FB cache will loose my image?
My concern is to have my FB posts with a blank space instead the WordPress featured image.
Thank you.

No the image name doesn’t changes, and FB will keep the image cached.
