I have just looked in the file manager on my server wp-content/plugins and there is a folder existing si-contact-form with no files in it and a folder “captcha”

I removed it and was able to install the plugin but it is obviously a new form so I have to start again!!

Weird … I have now gone to redo the form and it have saved the info

I can only presume that because i did not delete te [si-contact-form form=’1′] on the page that it retained it all

Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi, that is definitely a very strange incident. I have never come across something like that. When you update or upgrade a plugin, theme or even WordPress, a plugin should never be removed. However in your case you say that the update failed, correct? Did it display any error messages? You might like to check the server log files to see if it does reveal why it failed to update.

Most important is that your plugin is working again. If you don’t need any more help with this thread can you mark it as resolved.

    Thank you
