schema or structured microdata in visual mode

when inserting schema in wordpress sites if your doing it manually, I have noted that if your previously in visual mode then you go to another page in WordPress that has schema, it will open in visual mode, your schema code is now lost, so when moving to a page that you know has schema code in it, you would previously have to be in TEXT view before opening that page with the schema already in it.

this is a huge problem and im surprised wordpress has not sorted it out

now i have to copy the code just incase i forget and open a page in visual mode that has microdata inserted in the text view

does anyone know how i can fix the problem or is there a plugin that fixes it?

i do have a plugin called itemprop WP for SERP (and SEO) Rich snippets, but the code inserted-in does not meet the new standards of the required fields in the new article schema that was changed before christmas.
