Autoptimize not work with a Theme

    I have a problem with Autoptimize unfortunately it does not work with my Theme. Other themes in the same installation work perfectly in terms of optimization. The Theme wishing I use is reduced to a minimum Theme. I have the theme in a test installation installs can be contacted at http://h2436728.stratoserver.net/wordpress-test-2/. Does anyone have an idea where the error might be?

    so how does it not work? internal server error? content visible but no style applies? content and some styling visible?

    as this is a test-install, can you enable CSS optimization so I can see what happens?

    Hello there,

    Sorry, I had forgotten. The mistake is that I have the optimization of HTML, JavaScript and CSS enabled but the system does not perform the optimization. By default WordPress Theme 2016 optimization work but flawless and everything is summed up as desired and optimized.

    ah, now I see 🙂

    the theme is missing the opening <html tag, in which case AO assumes it not to be HTML and hence does not optimize.

    Hi Frank,
    I have a similar issue – JS, CSS, HTML are not being autoptimized despite being checked (source code at front end shows no change).

    As you suggest above, I checked my theme and the <html tag is in place. (Also I disabled all plugins but no difference. Autoptimize works fine on any other theme or default wp theme. So it does seem to be an issue with my theme. My site is http://www.byzastoursturkey.com.)

    Is there anything else that might cause a theme not to work with Autoptimize?

    could be a lot of things, better ask the theme author emeraldwave.
