• Hi,

I’m thoroughly confused about the subdomain process. My current site is http://www.theharvestmagazine.com, and is hosted at WordPress.org. I attempted to create a subdomain titled health.theharvestmagazine.com, however I repeatedly got a message that I don’t have permissions to create that domain name.

I then bought the domain name http://www.theharvestonhealth, which is not a subdomain, and certainly not the URL I wanted. Once I bought this domain I tried mapping it to http://www.theharvestmagazine.com, but got a message that the new domain is already mapped.

Should I start over? What do I need to do to create the subdomain health.theharvestmagazine.com?

    I can’t figure this out.

    Please help.

    Thanks,
    Kim

I welcome replies that explain how to first create a subdomain on my site (theharvestmagazine.com) and then how to connect it to my site. Is there code I need to write? Is there something I need to purchase? Is there a plug in? How does the process work?

Unfortunately, none of the threads I reviewed are helpful and don’t seem related to what I am trying to do. That’s probably because I am not a tech person, and just simply have no idea how to get stared.

Any explanation will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Kim
