    Hi Is it possible to create a normal page (Not Post)to create the news? Trying to use it for a restaurant site and would like to use in normal pages since the restaurant does not have a blog (posts) It would be to announce dish of the day, special occasions, etc. on a widget linked to a normal page. Thank you

    Hello,

    Yes you can use this plugin for the same.

    Create a page called say “Announce” and add the shortcode
    [sp_news]

    Once you install the plugin a News tab will display in the left side where you can add dish of the day, special occasions, etc and display.
