• WordPress.com hosts my blog. You have changed something on my blog or all blogs and now I can’t use Windows Live Writer! I have edited posts that I must post and can’t!

I woke up today to post to my blog and can’t. Nothing has changed on my computer since last night or the day before or the day before.

In fact I posted to my blog yesterday with Windows Live Writer.

    Error Message:

An error occurred while attempting to connect to your weblog:

Invalid Server Response – The response to the blogger.getUserBlogs method received from the weblog server was invalid.

Invalid response document returned from XmlRpc Server.

This is from the Windows Live Writer log:

  • I’m not going to be much help Karl except to say that I’ve had the same problem.

    It was all OK yesterday.

Most posts aboput this on the web seem to be referring to self hosted wordpress sites not to those hosed at wordpress.

I wonder if someone there has recently upgraded anything?

Just found out what’s going on …

WordPress are having a problem and have switched someting off in an emergency sory of way. Hopefully switched on again later today.

As an aside, this topic would have been much more useful at the wordpress.COM forums
