Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Hi Tara,

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, that all sounds greek to me. I paid a company to build the site over a year ago, and they created it so I could log in and make small changes as needed. Now that this white screen of death has come into play, I am totally lost. Should I hire someone to fix it?

Thanks again for all your input.

    Regards,
    Matt

    – Both PHP errors and database errors can manifest as a white screen. This problem can be caused by a variety of issue.
    – Since the problem can be caused by any number of things, check the error logs on your server for a more specific error message. If you need help locating them, ask your hosting provider to help you with that.
    – Try reviewing this useful Codex: http://codex.wordpress.org/Common_WordPress_Errors#The_White_Screen_of_Death
