Custom CSS not working

    Hi, i found these codes on here and thought I would use them to fix the issue of white space in my header. The changes are not working when I insert the codes in custom css. I have read that some plugins can override changes however I don’t know what plugin is overriding the changes.
    #site-title {
    margin: 0;
    line-height: 0;
    float: top;
    }

    #social-media-icons {
    float: right;
    margin-top: 0;
    }

    #header input#s {
    margin-top: 0;
    }

    #header #searchform {
    float: top;
    margin-top: 0;
    }

    what theme are you using?

    are you sure that those styles are compatible with your theme?

    can you provide a live link to your site to illustrate the problem?

    The theme am using is Semplice. Literally every code I have tried that people suggest is not working for me. My blog is not launched yet so the link won’t be working. Can I screen shot the front page so you can see what am talking about? I believe there is something wrong with my custom css.

    screenshots are not helpful with formatting questions; also, unless the suggestions were exactly for your theme, they are likely not to work…

    as your theme does not seem to be one of the supported themes from https://wordpress.org/themes/, you might need to ask the develper of your theme for help.

    Semplice is a word press theme. Also the suggestions were for people have white space issues in general. I don’t know what’s wrong with my custom css but it happens not to work. I also can’t send a link because i have launched my blog yet. ;(
