• I purchased a year’s subscription to Elegant Themes, and applied their theme, Glow, to my blog.

When I updated WordPress to version 4 the theme developed issues with the way lists of posts displayed. This problem was known to Elegant Themes who issued an update to Glow.

The problem is my subscription had already expired at this point. I only use the one theme and am not planning on needing more themes in the near future. I therefore am very reluctant to have to pay another $69 just to fix the item I have already paid for once.

Their claim that once you stop subscribing, you can still use any downloaded themes forever, did not mean what I assumed it to mean, I guess 🙁

I was able to fix the code on the front page of the blog myself, but am well out of my depth as to how to fix the rest of the site. It is the same problem throughout, but the front page had some longer, uncorrupted posts and I was able to just show those. For the other pages the default post size is half as big, and these are the corrupted ones. As there are no uncorrupted posts in this code I can not just change a variable to display only those ones. And I really have no idea what code I would need to copy over if I were to try to do it that way.

Does anyone have any bright ideas? I love this theme, but it looks like I will have to resort to a free one to get my blog looking decent again.
