– Is this your site: ithappenstothebestofus.com/
– If yes, sucuri online site check indicates it’s free of malware:
https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/ithappenstothebestofus.com/
So, try:
– deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
Hi Tara,
The affected website is matthewbrazier.com and it seems to be clear of malware according to sucuri as well.
I deactivated all plugins and also switched to the default theme but it didn’t solve the problem. I haven’t been able to find anything on Google pertaining to this particular malware either.

I recently noticed that all of the approved comments on my site have had their names changed to time now, including my own (admin). On the backend the comment author now appears as such:
time now
nowtime.xyz
*original author email address is here*
*original author IP address is here*
Has anyone else experienced this before? What would you suggest to get rid of this kind of spam?
