White screen over night

    Hi there,

    I just installed a new template including the cherry framework. Since then my site ‘crashes’ every night. The crash resultst in a white screen and no access to the admin.

    While trying to repair the site I started disabling the themes and after that all the plugins. Nothing changed. Next step was to upload a backup containing the wp-admin, the wp-includes files and all files in the root folder. The site went back up and was running fine untill the next night.

    After this I have 2 questions:

    • Are there any services or wordpress files that get updated on a daily basis?
    • Does anybody have any idea what is happening or how to debug this?

    No, there are no WordPress files updated on daily basis.

    The next time the site goes down, check the modification dates on the files, look for any that were modified *after* your last file upload. Then, compare those to the originals to see what’s happening.
