Downloaded theme, now what

What is next step?
I appreciate your help.

Next step is reading the manual… Using_Themes
Thank you, Moshu.
I’ve read it, but didn’t see how to insert the theme into the program.
My web host installed WordPress. On the Presentations page, it says to put the uploaded theme into the wp-content/themes directory, but where is that?
After I hit “download” there is folder with the theme on my desktop, as well as a separate icon that says “zip.”
moshu linked to page that explains everything,
http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes
if you READ that page, you will come to this:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes#Adding_New_Themes
and that explains your questions,
To add a new theme to your WordPress installation, follow these basic steps: 1. Download the theme archive and extract the files it contains. You may need to preserve the directory structure in the archive when extracting these files. Follow the guidelines provided by your theme author. 2. Using an FTP client to access your host web server, create a directory to contain your theme in the wp-content/themes directory provided by WordPress. For example, a theme named Test should be in wp-content/themes/test. Your theme may provide this directory as part of the archive. 3. Upload the theme files to the new directory on your host server. 4. Follow the instructions below for selecting the new theme.Note that there is a link to another page that explains ftp clients.
If your host installed wordpress, then you made need to get with them to get the info you need to access your files via ftp.
I’ve read it,
No, you didn’t.As it turns out, I needed to upload the file through my Web host.
All of the regular files uploaded fine, although I needed to upload each one separately.
But when I tried upload each of the individual pieces in the “images” file separately, only some took.
Five image files uploaded fine, but the rest will not upload. I get “an unknown error occured.”
The Web host said to try Internet Explorer, rather than Firefox, which I did, but the last few images aren’t taking. Any suggestions? Does it have to do with my computer being a Mac?
Any suggestions?
yes, read the page again, and follow what it says. Internet explorer is not an ftp client.
GET an ftp client.
Download problem resolved. Thank you.
