Using https, images and logo, mix content warnings

    Theme Version 3.0.6 + a child theme
    Site has a SSL certificate.
    Updated .htaccess to force vistors to https://
    Wp general setting are also set to use https//

    However all images and logo are being delivered over http://
    So getting the Mix-content error warnings
    —
    Installed SSL plugin
    after this only The header logo is using http://

    Is there any solution to natively (within the themes logic) to force content urls to use https? As I would prefer to uninstall the SSL plugin
