• Hey olivers, I’m not sure if you’ve heard this before, but I’m having some issues with the captcha implementation. It seems that the first image always errors and often times letters that have similar couterparts are half out of the box (such as “q”, “g”, etc.). I wanted to bring this up to see if there’s a fix that someone’s found or even to see if anyone else is having this problem.

btw, I LOVE cformsII. It is by far the best forms plugin i’ve found on any platform.

That should certainly not be the case. Can you share the URL where it happens?

That’s part of the CAPTCHA routine and hard to avoid, given the small height of the default image. The good news is, that with all the CAPTCHA options available (on the General Settings menu tab), you can make the image as big as you require and the fonts as small as you need them to be etc. This will help to minimize the affect of unreadable CAPTCHA images.

Sorry it’s taken me a bit. I started encountering a new problem – Now the CAPTCHA image doesn’t even show up. I get text, then the input field, then the refresh icon, but no image. I upgraded today to 7.51 and nothing changed. You can see this @ http://www.agapefest.com/contact/

I really haven’t changed anything either. And it randomly just quit showing up a few days ago. thanks for your help.

Just to let you know, I did look through the support forum FAQ and what not – and tried the ones that seemed to be possible, but none of this worked.

I’m running it on WP 2.3.3, PHP4, pretty standard settings.

The issue lies with your providers PHP support, this is the error msg I see:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagecreate()

You may want to check with your provider if they can’t upgrade you to a PHP server that’s been compiled with the appropriate switches (see FAQ for minimum CAPTCHA reqs: look under ‘CAPTCHA image is not shown‘ and ‘CAPTCHA image is not shown II‘)

Alright. It’s all local so I’ll talk to my office mate (the admin) and see what we’ve got set up wrong. Probably happened in our recent server rebuild. Thanks a lot.
