Illegal string offset error after upgrading to v2.3.2

    Hi:
    I just upgraded to v.2.3.2 and am experiencing the following errors that appear on the widget and cause the slideshow not to automatically cycle. Any idea as to a resolution?

    Here are the errors (path to file omitted):
    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘display’ in <path>/sponsors-slideshow-widget.php on line 612
    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘effect’ in <path>/sponsors-slideshow-widget.php on line 613
    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘animate’ in <path>/sponsors-slideshow-widget.php on line 614
    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘style’ in <path>/sponsors-slideshow-widget.php on line 615

    I presume these widgets were already present before the update? Go to the widget settings and save the settings for each slideshow widget. That should resolve the issue.

    I newly introduced additional parameters, which are not present in previously saved widgets

    I had the same errors as rdorocke. As suggested, I went into Widgets and re-saved the settings as they were already there before the update. This did not resolve the problem.

    Next I deleted the widget from the page and started over from scratch. This made the problem worse. Now I not only have the same errors as before, but now I have similar errors on lines 311, 312, 315, 318, 322, 326, 331, 358, 359, 436 and 450.

    do you still get warning messages with version 2.3.4? If yes please post the exact messages
