    Referring to “resolved” thread painful bug for this plugin, java crash and destroy woocommerce?, I’m having the same problem and have traced it to the exact same code as was referenced in that thread. Interesting, given that the rep in the thread says the code isn’t from MailChimp but clearly it is. The code is generated using these instructions in MailChimp’s own KB.

    This was a huge time-suck and revenue drain for me to figure out. It took me three weeks, during prime online shopping season, of going back and forth between the theme vendor (Elegant Themes Divi), the WooCommerce plugin vendor, and my hosting company (GoDaddy), all of whom said the error message about the a.cookie not being supported was due to something the other had done wrong. I only figured this out after downgrading my hosting at GoDaddy and moving my site there to see if that would fix it. When I copied my settings over, MINUS this code, it all worked. But when I added this code back in, the issue resurfaced.

    I’m very sorry to hear this took so much time away from you. That shouldn’t happen, especially during the holiday season. If anything like this ever happens again (we’ll do our very best to make sure it doesn’t), please feel free to open a ticket here so we can help you resolve things faster.

    I’ve taken a careful look at the pages you’ve mentioned, and I think there might have been a mix-up. ibericode, the company that has written the MailChimp for WordPress plugin, is a third party to MailChimp. The code generated by our plugin is different from the code generated within the MailChimp Dashboard (the one you get when following the instructions from the KB article you mentioned).

    I apologize sincerely for this; we do our best to let everyone know we are not MailChimp, but it’s understandable that it might look that way. I hope this clears things up, and if there is anything else I can help you with I would be happy to do so.
