Polylang Strings Translation not saved

    Polylang is an awesome plugin to translate each page 
    However, I have a problem with the page ‘Strings Translate’ in settings:
    I can edit the translation of the Site Title and Tagline but these changes can’t be saved.
    When I click save the changes are canceled.
    It seems that many other people had a similar problem but none of them seems to match what I experienced with a fresh reinstall.
    This bug seems very simple to reproduce:
    + install a fresh version of Worpress 4.4 and Polylang.
    + Add two languages.
    + try to edit any string in the tab ‘Strings Translate’
    The debug.log doesn’t report any error.
    Any one experienced this problem?
