Recently upgraded to 4.4, though unsure if this was the cause. Using a custom theme, but have been without trouble for 7 years now. It seems that quite a few comments have vanished off my site, yet they still show in the admin section, and the number of comments is still correct in the page/post itself.
Doesn’t seem to be a pattern, for example, post made on 8th October is still showing comments from 30th October to 3rd November, but nothing before.
Similarly, post made on 3rd December is showing comments from 7th December until today, but nothing from before!
If I change one of the missing comments to today’s date for example, it will appear!
I’m no expert, so hope it is a simple enough solution? I’ve activated a WordPress standard theme but still the same. Also tried deactivating plugins with no success.
