Issues with files within WordPress 4.4
-
I have a site that is currently being hosted on GoDaddy and I was in the site-editor working with files and decided to click update to WordPress 4.4 from 4.3.1 and ever since then, I have not been able to get back to the dashboard at all. I was on with support for a considerable amount of time and the best thing they could come up for me was that Plesk isn’t handling 4.4 very well and that reverting back to 4.3.1. In my settings it says that 4.3.1 is the current version of WordPress, but now there is this upgrade folder in my wp-content file folder that contains wordpress-4.4-new-bundled2 folder that also contains an entire WordPress file tree. I am wondering if I can just re-upload WordPress 4.3.1 files except the wp-content file folder, so all my work isn’t destroyed, or if I can just go into that wp-content folder and get rid of that upgrade folder that seems to house the random.php file that is causing all the issues. Any help you guys can give, or advise would be greatly appreciated. I really don’t want to have to start over.
