Mobile Menu sizing
-
Hello,
Site: LustHaveFashion.com
Theme: AfterlightI am working on getting the menu properly set up for the mobile site. I note that when I access the site via mobile browser, different pages have different widths and text sizes for the menu. I was curious to see if the shiftnav code was being overwritten by code for the main site, but was unable to find anything that stuck out as such. I thought I would check on here and see if I could have someone else offer their opinion.
Also, does shiftnav offer any custom css examples for editing the menu (width, text size?) I would be interested in taking a look at these.
I appreciate your time and hope you enjoy your week.

Hi LHFashion,
I took a look at your site, and the only difference I am seeing is between the top level items (uppercase) and submenu items (normal case), which is the proper styling. Is there something else I should be looking at?
I don’t recommend altering the menu width, but you can check out the custom/custom-sample.css skin for an example of all the styles you can use to style the plugin.
Hope that helps and that you have a good week as well 🙂
Chris
Chris,
Thank you for sharing this information.
I am sharing a few images of what I have in mind. Note that the menu shown on the ‘Home’ page is considerably wider than all others:

Hi LHFashion,
I expect that you have elements within the body of your site overflowing, and as a result, the browser is trying to scale to accommodate those. The best solution is to make sure that all elements respond within their containers properly, but a quick fix is ofter to add overflow:hidden to the wrapper element in your main content to “cut off” any elements that extend beyond where they should.
Hope that helps!
Chris
