I think the site has updated to 4.4 but I thought I had disabled automatic updates. My web site is working fine, but when I go to Plesk>Server Management>WordPress one site is there, the dev site, the other live site is not.

it says /wordpress/htdocs instead of the site name, and when I hver over it it says a previous wordpress installation was detected at this path but is not working properly now.

My other site looks ok but is asking me to update to 4.4.

    Help and advice please.

Why are my posts being deleted? Some help would be really nice, or is this the wrong forum?

I have restored my site now from a backup but I now just get the wordpress install page when I goto my site login? Please help!

will check those files, where is the .htaccess file?

if not getting just upload again.

This was not a issue just follow steps wordpress installation.
when database exits so not update this value just set site title.
    username & password.

    Thanks

Why u have add “wordpress” folder with site content? move all files to one up from wordpress.

    Thanks.

ok, lets take a step back. I have no idea what happended but after the 4.4 update everything went wrong. the site was unavailable the admin page was not available. I have now restored to a backup that was ok, now I have blank site, theme does not have my content. I now have the admin page back but it is like a brand new install of wordpress! why has my restore not brought back the config!! getting really frustrated.

This is a great site. Any moderators or admins? Maybe I am asking the wrong question?

    @crabtreegroup,
This one not a wrong question but your site backup restored again.

    1) old database import with username & password which setting applied on config.php

    2) Import all files on server without “wordpress” folder and configured data.

    3) After site live manage permalink again.

    thanks,

@ravi, sorry I don’t understand what you are asking.

the question remains, why has my site reverted back to a new install of wordpress? the database looks fine, nothing has changed!
I am stuck as to what I do next?

WordPress isn’t a company and there is no single support entity. WordPress.org is just a website that distributes and supports the WordPress software. If you’re not aware, the WordPress software was created by, and is maintained and supported by volunteers. The same that are offering their time to help you in this thread.

I of course appreciate all of that, and thank anyone willing to offer help. I was merely asking why other threads are being responded to by multiple people and mine was not and whether I was asking the wrong kind of questions, purely selfish of course. I would just like some solid advice as to how to fix my site.
