Also, all the pages and media and plugins appear to be on the site (looking on the dashboard and seeing the pages and media thumbnails, etc), but none can actually be viewed when I click on them directly.

    Hi breakweather,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Could you make sure that you have mod_rewrite enabled on your apache install?

    Best,

    Hi Pim,

I’m not exactly sure what that means, but I went and made sure all the permissions on the install folder are read-write-execute.

The new wordpress installation is in /var/www/wordpress

After the transfer, most of the pages work except for the homepage (which gives a page not found error) and another top-level page (same error) for some reason. And none of the images load at all.

Any thoughts on what I am doing?

    Hi breakweather,

I am afraid you will have to contact your hosting provider to enable mod_rewrite on Apache install for you.

I was able to fix this by doing a search and replace and changing the folder for the images.

    Hi breakweather,

Did you use Find/Replace on your first export/import?
