All of a sudden today I am unable to insert an image into an existing table. I have tried just creating a new table to start from the beginning, and that won’t work either. The media library does open and I am able to select the image to insert, but after “insert into table” is chosen and returned to the table there has been nothing inserted. We did just have a child theme updated – could there be a conflict? Thanks so much!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Yes, there could indeed be some sort of conflict here, most likely by a plugin or your theme that could be inserting their JavaScript into the admin screens of TablePress.
To verify this assumption, can you try again after temporarily deactivating all other plugins and after switching to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Fifteen?

    Regards,
    Tobias

Swapped out the theme and that didn’t solve the problem but… the child theme creator had installed WP Editor to assist him with some modifications. When that plug-in was deactivated TablePress works perfectly again. Thanks so much for your help!

I had the same problem and it was the same thing. Turned WP Editor off and it works fine.

    Hi,

thanks a lot for the confirmation! Yes, WP Editor then probably adds some modifications to the original WP Editor JavaScript code that are not compatible outside of regular posts/pages.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
