Theme too big

    I’d like to setup a vertical carousel theme on my localhost before taking it to Hostgator. After many searches I found the one I want , but wordpress wont install it because its too big at 41mb.

    Is it possible to change the size of the themes your allowed to upload.

    I’d appreciate it if you could give me an answer in as plain as possible language so my 70yr old brain can absorb it as painlessly as possible.

    WordPress does not impose any upload limits. Any limits that are in place have been imposed by your hosts, so you could have a word with them about it.

    In the meantime, FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) & upload the unpacked theme’s folder to/ wp-content/themes.
