Custom Smilies Plugin- Creating Error

    I installed custom smilies(ver 1.1) on my WP blog (ver 2.3.2).

    I chmod the permissions to 777 for the init file as required.

    Yet, when I try to add my own smilies I get the following error:

    Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /mypage/mysite/myid/htdocs/myfolder/wp-content/plugins/custom-smilies.php on line 288

    Warning: fopen(../wp-content/plugins/custom-smilies/init.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in

    any ideas?
