Plugin language differs from website language
-
Hi all,
I’m at a loss figuring out how to set a few plugins to be the same language my website uses. Specifically, I’m using Fetch Tweets and WP Job Manager, both of which are in English, while the language of my website is set to Dutch. I didn’t do anything other than choosing “Nederlands” (Dutch) in the Admin, under the impression this picks the nl_NL .mo and .po files found in wp-content/languages.
Fetch Tweets and WP Job Manages have their own languages folders with their own nl_NL .mo and .po translation files. These aren’t being picked up by WordPress. My theme (BlankSlate) also had a language folder, which is empty. There’s a “plugin” folder under wp-content/languages, only including akismet-nl_NL.mo and akismet-nl_NL.po – no sign of other plugins.
However another plugin called Profile Builder does pick up its translations, which are stored in /plugin/profile-builder/translation.
Is this just an omission on the part of Fetch Tweets and WP Job Manager? That’d be peculiar, seeing they did go to some lengths including translation options. I or is there something I’m missing?
