• Hey,

I’ve just set up a brand new wordpress site, running off a local host (MAMP) on the chrome browser. There are no additional plugins installed, just a new theme. When the theme is installed, the site works fine. As soon as I install BB, no page will load, not even anything from the dashboard, all the pages say

    ‘No data received

    ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.’

Any knowledge on how to fix this??

    Thanks!

    Hey forumposter1,

Sorry to hear about the issue. We’re all running MAMP here for Beaver Builder development with no issues, so I’m not sure what the problem could be.

Is this a new install of MAMP? If so, maybe try reinstalling it.

Does the issue persist if you deactivate Beaver Builder?

Let me know and we’ll go from there.

It’s version 3.4, which I think is the newest one. I can’t actually get to that point as when I install it, the whole wordpress crashes, so I can’t access any of the site. Even the login page won’t load, it displays the same error message I said in the first post. I have no idea what’s wrong!

    Thanks for your help

Thanks for the info. This is a bit difficult to troubleshoot since it’s on a local install, but I’ll try my best 🙂

Just to confirm, if you manually delete Beaver Builder from the plugins folder, does the WordPress install start working again?

Thanks! Erm no, once installed, the whole wordpress site becomes unreachable, anytime I try to load it through the localhost, it displays the same page with the error message. So I can’t actually reach even the dashboard to uninstall the plugin.

No problem! Thanks for the follow up.

Can you try navigating to the plugins folder to delete the plugin manually? I have a feeling something else is going on (because lots of people use Beaver Builder on MAMP), so I want to see if deleting it helps. If that does help, then BB might be the problem, if it doesn’t, something else is going on.

You should be able to navigate to the plugins folder at…

    YOUR_SERVER_FOLDER/YOUR_WORDPRESS_FOLDER/wp-content/plugins/

Once there, delete the beaver-builder-lite-version folder and test your install to see if it is working again.

    Let me know the results!

    Thanks,
    Justin

    Hi guys,

I know this thread is kind of old but I’m having the same issue!

I’m using the Tesserract theme and it prompts me to install Beaver Builder.

When I do, it breaks localhost giving me the error message mentioned above.

If I delete the plug-in manually it fixes the issue. Also if I change the theme I’m using before I install BB it seems to work (Athough, I can’t seem to find where to start using beaver builder but thats probably because I’ve never used it before – a problem for another day).

Do you know why I might be getting this issue?

I’ve contacted the guys over at Tesseract but had no reply so far.

    Hope you can help! 🙂

    ELi
