its not working with my gmail and its showing error as follow:

SMTP ERROR: Failed to connect to server: Connection timed out (110)
SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting
Mailer Error: SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting

Hi, Are you using TLS on port 587?

It might be blocked on your server. Try SSL on port 465 and see how it goes.

Which URL are you referring to? Please try these settings and see how it goes (Settings->Gmail SMTP):

Type of Encryption: SSL
SMTP Port: 465

Easy fix for this one. Google has stopped most accounts using 465 for SSL and 587 for TLS.

When you configure the plugin on the general tab use option TLS with port 25 and the plugin works perfectly.

Just Google being difficult 🙂
