I’m building my own theme but it’s pretty simple at the moment. I’m working on my own wampserver and when I view my site at localhost/wordpress/ it displays exactly what my home page should look like. However for my “home” menu that links to http://localhost/wordpress/index.php/home/. The index.php/home/ page is linked to the only page on my site titled “home”.

If I trash the “home” page I don’t have a page to create a menu with. My question is, how do I create a menu with a “home” tab that links to the localhost/wordpress/ page?

I figured it out. I have to create a custom link with the url I want and add it to the Menu. The “home” page isn’t really a page.

I solved this by creating a Custom Link for my menu with the url I wanted. The “home” page isn’t a page.
