Students can’t make comments.

I have placed some questions/problems on my WordPress blog so my students can answer questions, or resolve the problems.

Trouble is, they can’t see any way of adding comment to the blog site I have. Have I not established something I should have?

Any help on this problem would be great, as I want my students to have the ability to answer to blogs I place on the site for our lesson content.
