“Can you please tell me how do i make it so i get notified by email once there is an update available?“
Get the folks in charge of it to actually use it. I’ve been subscribed to it going on 3 years now and have never seen a message come in from it. I assume they’ve come to rely on the info filtering out through the Dashboard news items, or the new ‘update’ feature in current versions of WordPress.
So i am not the only one who dont get those notifications.
Can you please tell me where is that new ‘update’ feature in current versions of WordPress ?

You will see a yellow bar below your admin navigation if a newer version is availiable.
