Variations Drop Down Empty

    We are finding that after the last update, some of our variable products only show empty drop downs. We have to recreate the product in order to get it to work again. We have 5 stores and thats not realistic either.

    This is becoming ridiculous with every woocommerce update i cringe with what problem might be next!

    Tools > Export. Export your products and share the file if you can – the terms are missing from the page. This is unlike the variable.php problem in the sticky.

    They are working fine with Woocommerce 2.3 plugin. Is there anyway I can use Woocommerce 2.3 variable code or something. Presently I am using Woocommerce 2.3.13 version and its works fine.

    Well we don’t know which part of the code is causing it so thats not ideal. If you can get a mirror/dev site setup with the same issue after upgrade and somehow give me access I would be happy to take a look. But start with your system status report – can you post that here?

    How is it working for you? Can I know in more detail exactly what you did? I tried various ways with bulk edit but no results. Can you share what you did!

    Can you also export your variations and tell me the ID of the product showing the issue.

    Including product IDs for products and their variants worked, but that’s difficult. Opening every single product and modifying its variants and then saving worked as well, but that’s not practical when you have a lot of products.

    The process that worked was:
    1. Delete all products. Empty the trash.
    2. Check on “Merge products if exists” right next to the “Import Products” button, then upload the file as you normally do.
    3. Check “Merge empty cells” on the next page and click “Upload file and import”.

    I’m not sure if all steps are necessary, but it worked for me.

    Hey Guy’s,

    I’m experiencing the same problem since updating to WooCommerce 2.6.4 last night. New variations I have added last night are showing empty drop downs, but previous variations are working fine.

    Does anyone have any resolutions for this?

    tomuptonuk start your own thread. 2.6.4 didn’t touch variations.
