Problem with Facebook Open Graph
-
You need to give more information! : )
whats the problem?
As you can see, the description goes wacky with all the % and + signs, etc. when we sharing articles on Facebook.
You have duplicate Open Graph tags. One that is generated by our plugin and another set that includes the % and + signs generated by something else on your site.
If you are unsure what else on your site outputs Open Graph tags, please check for conflicts. If you are unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we wrote a small guide that will walk you through the steps. You can find it here: How To Check For Plugin Conflicts
Once you locate the plugin or theme function, please disable the functionality in either their settings or our plugin.
Problem still exists 🙁
Here is the debug info for your page https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/
I passed our website link and they show the details, what should I do next?
basically @amboutwe is right, if you paste your url in the debugger and fetch new info you’ll see the notice.
it’s show like this;
More Than One OG URL Specified Object at URL ‘http://www.theweddingblissthailand.com/2015/11/a-look-into-wedding-cakes-trend-in-2016’ of type ‘article’ is invalid because it specifies multiple ‘og:url’ values: http://www.theweddingblissthailand.com/2015/11/a-look-into-wedding-cakes-trend-in-2016, http://www.theweddingblissthailand.com/2015/11/a-look-into-wedding-cakes-trend-in-2016.
How can I fix this please? 🙁
You’ll need to figure out what is creating the second set of values.
1. Deactivate all non-Yoast plugins.
2. Switch to a freshly installed default WordPress theme like Twenty Fourteen.
3. Paste the URL in the Facebook debugger and fetch new info.If the duplicate URL error is resolved, you have a plugin conflict between our plugin and something on your site.
1. Activate one plugin.
2. Paste the URL in the Facebook debugger and fetch new info.
3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 until the error appears or all plugins are active.
4. Switch to your custom theme.
5. Paste the URL in the Facebook debugger and fetch new info.Whatever you activated immediately before the error appeared is the conflicting item. Disable Open Graph in the conflicting item.
Thank you very much @ amboutwe for your help. I have done all the step you told me. I switched to the Twenty Fourteen theme and I don’t get any error from Facebook debugger even all plugins are active. But When I switch back to my custom theme, I got the same error from Facebook debugger. So this’s mean Yoast plugin is conflicting with our theme?
If so how can I fix it please? You have two options:
A. Disable Open Graph in our plugin.
B. Disable Open Graph in your theme. (Might be called SEO)As the theme appears to be adding the tags with the % and + signs, I would recommend disabling it in the theme. I’m not familiar with your custom theme so reaching out to their support would be your next step.
