Automatic dated Backup

I just lost my ENTIRE SITE in 2 clicks, and apparently cannot undo this or recover the previously saved version. (Using theme “I Am One”).

I seem to remember previously having a list to choose from of previous versions to return to. Now there is nothing?

If this is true it is a horrendous oversight from WordPress. And I have lost 3 months’ work in 2 seconds!
