Did you include templates for the archives? Like archive.php and archives.php (they are different).
I’d like to know this too. And exactly where are the archives located in the directory?
hello, thanks for your reply
yes indeed I did create the archives.php. In fact I took the one from the Default Theme and added a few things to make it work on my own theme.
I just went over the process again and recreated a page based on this template
you can now view the main archive page at
http://guillaume.belfiore.fr/history/
What I would like is a simple list of articles on a page. For some reasons it seems that sometimes the archives “are” being displayed and narrowed by months or category. For example try clicking on “December”.
However I don’t want to be seeing this on the homepage.
I tried going back to the default permalink structure but it did the same thing.
Also I have tried 3 or 4 different plugins like Compact Archives, Extended Live Archives or even Custom Query String but none would work…
could this be related to a .htaccess file (which I DID NOT make but might create)?
Any ideas?
thanks
Sorry I’m marking this topic are resolved since I actually found a plugin that works pretty well
