404 error

I duplicated my page http://www.loremipsum/about and it created a copy, but it also changed the name of the original page to http://www.loremipsum/about-2
So I get a 404 error.
I had to delete the copied page and my original page somehow automatically went back to http://www.loremipsum/about
I tried it again after updating the plug-in and it modified the original page to make it …/about-3
So what am I doing wrong?
