What I know its not possible, you can just change display name.
I see that you have not much forum posts, so probably the best solution will be just create new account.

I’m sorry, but changing the username is not possible. It is a technical limitation. You can change the display name.
If it’s really a problem then please consider creating a new forum account and abandoning the old one.

I’d like to be able to create a new account but it would mean creating a whole new email address just for that account because I can’t re-use my current one, which wouldn’t really be ideal.
I suggest you Paul, that you create or use some email what you control and change email in this account. (I am sure you handle some old email account or just create anything anywhere)
After that, you will be able to register new .org account with your current email what you use in this account.

That doesn’t work I’ve already tried it I’m afraid, something to do with spam that you can’t re-use an email that’s already been used.
