• Hi guys,
Im pretty new to this whole Multisite installations and stuff, but I have one problem. I have my main website, and sudomains (fr, es, de etc) . Via Network Admin, I am able to upload plugins and do the Network activations, BUT it applies only to my main website not to the subdomains, and on it i cant upload any plugins, which is as far as i understood the way all of this works. On the other hand when i go to the subdomains, i can upload plugins, non of the plugins for which i did network activation works or are applied, and i dont know what is the problem or how to solve it. Point is that I want my main website and subdomains to be exatcly the same as main website. Since those subdomains are ment to be for different languages which is another problem of mine on how to translate them, with which plugin and such.

If you can please help me anyhow or point me in the right direction I will highly appreciate, since this project is more then important to me.

  • I think you are mis-understanding how “network activation” works.
“network activated” plugins only show up in the Network admin console, they do not show on the individual sites admin console. When you network activate a plugin, the plugin is active for all sites. You can only deactivate a “network activated” plugin from the network console.
