Sorry about the links in the earlier post, there were supposed to be two broken pages and two working posts, but instead we’ve got one of each duplicated.
Let me know if you need more examples.
Mike
Hi,
Are you using any sort of caching software? It could be this has cached a version of the page that was created when the plugin was disabled.
Is it a standard page? or has it got some sort of custom type?
Do you have any plugins that affect only pages / page generation?
Paul
Hi Paul,
I have a cache that is cleared every time I publish a post. Also the cache isn’t used for administrators, so I don’t think that’s the problem, or I would see the links myself.
I don’t think your plugin has ever been disabled, either.
I use several kinds of post, but only standard pages.
Similarly, I can think of one Plugin that only runs on Posts (Swifty Bar) but I don’t think there are any that only run on Pages.
Thanks, Mike
Hi,
I’m baffled, presumably they used to work on those pages?
Have you changed your theme? If so try reverting to the old one.
The plugin hooks into the page content via ‘the_content’ WordPress filter, I could try creating a really simple plugin that hooks into the same filter and see if that works on the pages?
Paul
Hi Paul,
Thanks for taking a look. Yes, the pages were working at least up to the end of September, and probably to 5th Oct.
I noticed they were broken last Monday 19th Oct. I thought your plugin was broken completely until I realised that I could still add new links on posts.
I haven’t changed my theme since February, so that isn’t it.
I would blame another plugin if I could think of one that runs just on pages and not on posts. Can’t think of any plugins I’ve added in the last month either.
Thanks,
Mike
