Sorry i deactivated it to test another plugin. I’ve linked project back to my portfolio but it’s still not displaying anything My guess it’s probably not compatible with my version as i’m using 4.3.1

In your shortcode [birdsfolio cat=”slug_of_the_portfolio_category_you_want_to_display”]
did you replace slug_of_the_portfolio_category_you_want_to_display by the slug of your portfolio category?
eg: if you’ve created some items with the design category, then your shortcode should be [birdsfolio cat=”design”]
Well i have items tags to different categories..E.g. I have “Designs, Websites” in my portfolio categories. How will i input shortcode for this.

The shortcode is for one category only (and uses slug and not name of the category)
If you want to display everything, just create a page and select the ‘Portfolio’ template in the Page Attributes block.
You not making sense.. first you gave an example to place design category in the shortcode, now you saying the opposite to use the slug not the name of category. This is really confusing. Can you give a proper example.I can send you my user and pass to have a look at it if you have the time. I’m just about giving up now. Thank you

What about the Portfolio Category Shortcode?
A shortcode is included into the plugin to display the projects belonging to a particular category into a page. Usage: [birdsfolio cat=”slug_of_the_portfolio_category_you_want_to_display”] slug_of_the_portfolio_category_you_want_to_display must be unique and it must be the slug of the category.
There will be no filtering, of course, but projects will use the masonry display.
In the Installation tab, it’s written:
4. Visit Settings > Permalinks in your WordPress admin to flush your rewrite rules.
5. Create a page and select the ‘Portfolio’ template in the Page Attributes block.
What is confusing?
If you have different categories, then you can create a page, choose the portfolio template, and that’s it.
When this page is displayed, the portfolio is displayed, with filtering.
If you want to display only one category on a page, then you can place a shortcode in the content of this page.
You know what just forget..I’ve done about every single instruction you posted on hear. You make it seem to look like i’m dumb or something. I’ve tried other plugins which i found very simple and easy use. There was never any issues with shortcode. You sound like one of my old tutors..They have master their craft but can’t teach for shit.. Thanks for nothing
